          Located near the Interstate 94, Libertyville is a very short drive away from many local businesses as well as more recent commercial development.  Nevertheless, the city has not given up its historic feel and natural beauty.  Cook Mansion, the two-story Victorian mansion was built in 1871 and is the community’s most predominant piece of architecture.  In addition, Butler and Liberty Lakes are just two of the man-made bodies of water to accompany the seven recreational parks and two golf courses within Libertyville’s borders.  There is no mystery why families have stayed here for so long.

          Parents and children in Libertyville are also lucky enough to be served by three well-recognized school districts.  Children attend K-12 grades in the Libertyville, Hawthorn and Community High School #128 Districts.  For grades 9 through 12, almost all the young students attend Libertyville High School.
