Consisting of older, primarily white residents and families, the town’s population surged in 1950’s after the completion of the Eden’s Expressway and is now home to over 22,000 residents. Nevertheless, Morton Grove still maintains a plethora of local retail shops, small businesses, and dining spots within its borders. Favorites include Graziano’s Brick Oven Pizza as well as Donn’s Fishmarket and Tavern.
Parents in Morton Grove also have the privilege of sending their children to public schools in any of six different school districts. Children attending elementary school or junior high are served by the Golf, Morton Grove, East Maine, and Skokie School Districts. Conversely, students attend high school in either the Niles or Maine Township High School Districts.
